About Us

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.... I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:4,5,7 .

Here at Ninety and Nine, we love our sheep and all things sheep related. Established in 2021 in central Pennsylvania, we specialize in Katahdin sheep and registered Maremma Sheepdogs. Our hired hand in training is Nellie, a Border Collie.

Maremmas originated in Italy where they have an extensive history as the guardian of the flock. They are known for their beautiful white coats. Even though Maremmas are very affectionate and loyal to their owner’s, they are a foe predators will want to avoid.

Katahdin sheep are hair sheep raised for breeding and meat. They are a hardy sheep that grow a thick winter coat which they shed in the spring and summer. As a breeding sheep, they make excellent mothers usually twinning after their first year.
